Enforcement hub
Where a Spain judgment can be enforced
This page indexes what a Spanish judgment needs before enforcement elsewhere: the refusal pattern behind it, the service that handles the file, and destination routes as they get confirmed. A Spanish judgment travels abroad with an apostille, since Spain has applied the Hague Apostille Convention since 1978. What a foreign court then requires, and what it costs, depends on that country's own rules and is not assumed here.

Start with the enforcement hub for the full map of directions covered. If the judgment went unpaid, that pattern sits under refusal type O8. Cross-border recognition work is described on the cross-border recognition and enforcement page, and the Spanish system behind the judgment on the Spain jurisdiction profile. If the debtor and assets sit in Spain rather than the judgment, the reverse route is enforcement into Spain. Two asset classes get separate treatment: crypto and platform accounts and foreign real estate. Non-payment under a private agreement, rather than a judgment, sits under refusal type O1 in Spain.
