The firm
Cross-border enforcement
This hub collects the firm's material on what happens after a private investment payment is refused, delayed, or unwound across a border. It is organised by direction of movement, money leaving a jurisdiction or arriving from one, and by refusal type. It does not estimate outcomes. It sets out what a given situation is, what it is not, and what can be checked before anyone is instructed.
Index
Enforcement problems usually start on one side of a pair of jurisdictions: where the investor is, and where the counterparty, custodian, or platform sits. The pages below are grouped that way, not by product name, because the mechanics of recovery follow the jurisdictions involved, not the label put on the investment.
- Enforcement from the UAE — cases where funds or a judgment originate in the UAE and enforcement is sought elsewhere.
- Enforcement to the UAE — cases where a foreign judgment or claim must be enforced against assets or a party located in the UAE.
- Enforcement from the UK — UK-originating judgments, orders, or refusals moving outward.
- Enforcement to the UK — foreign claims or judgments directed at a UK-based party or asset.
- Enforcement from Switzerland — Swiss-originating matters, including the specific limitation questions that arise in arbitration-linked claims.
- Enforcement to Switzerland — foreign judgments or claims aimed at assets or parties in Switzerland.
- Refusal types — a separate index organised by the reason given for non-payment, rather than by jurisdiction.
Where a jurisdiction pair is not yet listed, the applicable procedural rule and competent authority are not assumed here; each is confirmed against the specific claim before any step is recommended.
