Privacy notice — cross-border investment claims

Answer

This notice explains what information the firm collects when someone contacts it about a stuck investment, why it is collected, and how it is handled. It is not a data-processing agreement for any specific engagement. It applies to this website and to initial contact before any retainer exists.

Main

Contact through this site typically involves details of a transfer, an entity that refused to perform, and supporting documents such as statements or correspondence. That information is used only to assess whether the matter falls within the scope described on the refusals and enforcement pages, and to respond to the enquiry. It is not shared with counterparties, exchanges, banks, or any third party without instruction.

Documents submitted before a retainer are treated as confidential. They are not forwarded, published, or used for any purpose other than the initial review the sender requested. Retention periods, and the basis for any longer retention required by professional rules, depend on the applicable procedural rule and are confirmed once a matter is opened, not on this page.

Where a jurisdiction-specific page is referenced, such as BVI, Cayman, or Liechtenstein, no data submitted in connection with that page is treated differently from data submitted elsewhere on the site. General terms of engagement are set out separately at terms, and the firm's scope of work is described at services. Requests to access, correct, or delete information already submitted can be made by the same channel used to contact the firm.
